Evergreen Aviation Museum

I really really tried to find the time to "catch up" on this blog, but alas, I am going to play the mommy card with too much to do, and too little time. Here are some pictures from our adventure at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. It was a really cool place and it is where the Spruce Goose now lives. We went over President's Day weekend. So, you just need to trust me when I say there were some really cute pictures from Easter and various other events in the past few months...but they'll just have to reside somewhere else!

Liam's birthday party

Also back in January, Mateo's buddy Liam celebrated his 3rd birthday too with a pirate party. Mateo had a great time riding the carousel and having pizza and cupcakes (um, who wouldn't?). Happy Birthday, Liam!

Go Ducks!

The Oregon Ducks football team made it to the BCS Championship game this year. It was a huge deal and everyone was in their green and yellow...including Elise and gal pal Harper! (Yes, this was back in January - I told you I had to do a lot of catching up!)

Mateo turns 3!!!

I remember when I first started working on my parenting project at work with 3-6 year olds back in 2008, when Mateo was just a babe, that I couldn't wait for Mateo to turn 3 because it looked like a such a fun age. I guess every birthday that the kids have will seem a bit surreal - to me as a parent. And this one was no exception. I can't believe he's 3! Not a baby, a little boy! Ok, let's not get all emotional now. So, you know how kids go through toys like nobody's business, so you want to choose wisely what to spend your money on? Well, let me just say, Thomas the Tank Engine was the best investment we ever made! Mateo has loved Thomas and all things train it seems for the past 2 years. So naturally, we had a Thomas party! The spread. What are these, you ask? 3's...made of ice. With colored dyes. I made a lot of them. And I mean a lot. During the festivities, Elise hung out with her friend Harper.
Mateo, the birthday boy, with lots of gifts!

A huge thanks to my aunt to attended to Elise many a time when I was trying to be in 4 places at once.

Cannonball!

Mr. Liam...awaiting cake.

Hi Bailey!

We're so proud of you, Mateo. Okay, you can stop getting older now.
