Christmas 2011

I was pretty horrified when I clicked into my blog and saw that my last post was on Halloween. So much has happened between there and now, but as I'm sure you all would just love to hear all the little details, I'll spare you and talk about Christmas. We did our annual week long trip to Stockton to celebrate Christmas at Matt's parent's house. We were blessed with gorgeous clear weather and sun. My mom was also able to come visit for a few days, so it indeed felt like a true holiday. Elise being a little older this year loved the decorations and kept trying to get at the Christmas tree (much to Nana's dismay), but Mateo and her also had a great time running around with all their cousins and seeing Santa. We had a fabulous week there and are always sad when it's time to go. But...I guess it's only fair to give Nana and Papa their house (and sanity) back after we go. Here are some highlights...

Heaven.

This just says it all!

This is Halloween, 2011

Happy Halloween! This year as Halloween was on a Monday, we took our ladybug and Bob the Builder to my work for trick or treating and a party. But I got a few shots of them before we went in...

Daddy wore his panda hat...he didn't get much use of it this baseball season as the Giants didn't make it to the playoffs. (Okay, I couldn't help myself. But just to make it even, neither did the Angels.)
Mateo with his friend Bailey (Alice in Wonderland).
Elise won the Cutest Kid costume award!
Can we trick or treat? YES WE CAN!

Hope everyone had a nice Halloween!

Summer Cuteness

Suddenly fall is just around the corner...like next week. When you live in Oregon, this is a very very sad realization. We know what's coming. And it's not good. And it's long. Very long. So, I thought I'd combat this scary thought with looking at some fun we had this summer. Just a few highlights. At least I can look forward to pumpkin spiced lattes. Okay, I feel better now.

We hit the coast last month just to get away for a few days. Included in the trip was a stop at Rogue Brewery for lunch in Newport, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, then Florence. (I'll leave out the part where we get food poisoning).

I love this face!

This is at the Oregon Gardens.

And the rest are just darn cute.

Okay fall, I'm ready for you. Stay tuned...

Elise is one!

Our little girl turned one today! We celebrated this past weekend with a flower party in the park. It was a beautiful day and a great time. Thanks so much to friends and family who came to wish Elise a happy birthday! Above the is uber-cute invitation that my friend Kim designed...and just DAYS before giving birth to her second kiddo. Thanks, Kim!

Below is a mini-scrapbook of pictures from the party...
