Yo Gabba Gabba! Live!
We were so excited when we heard Yo Gabba Gabba was going live on tour. And even more excited when we heard they were coming to Eugene. Do you know Yo Gabba Gabba? Well, let me introduce you...Muno! He's tall and friendly...
Foofa! She's pink and happy...
Toodee! She likes to have fun...
Brobee! The little green one...
Plex! A magic robot.
And my favorite...DJ Lance Rock!It was a special night for Mateo. My aunt came over to watch Elise so it was Mateo-only time with mommy and daddy. The show was a lot of fun. I think I had as much fun as he did!

They passed out DJ Lance glasses so we had a bit of fun at the beginning.
Then the show began. If you don't happen to watch the show, the premise is there's this DJ who watches over this fantasy land with different back drops for each character. You make the dolls come to life by saying Yo Gabba Gabba! Then they visit you for 30 minutes and sing songs and dance. Oh and there's valuable lessons like 'keep trying, don't give up' and 'try it, you'll like it!'
In the middle of the show they brought out the balloons (just before intermission). How clever.
Ah, so much fun. Thanks for coming to OUR city. And as they say in the show:
It's almost time to go.
Aaaawwww.
But first, let's remember what we did today!
OK!
Can you help me?
Yeah!
Can we dance?
Yeah!
Let's do it.
Break it down!

Alicia & Nick
You know my good friends Alicia and Nick from several blog posts dating years back. I met Alicia through my pal Jenn when we all worked at Oregon Social Learning Center about 6 years ago, when I was pretty fresh to Oregon. Boy was I lucky to meet such good friends so quickly, and I can safely say they will be friends for life. Since then, Jenn has moved to Silverton (about an hour away) and Alicia just moved to Corvallis (also an hour away). Even though I don't get to see them so often, they are very near to my heart. Alicia has always been "Alicia and Nick" from the beginning. Her and Nick were the sweetest pair, and they made it "official" in September after dating for over 10 years. I was so excited for both of them. I was even more excited when she asked me (and Jenn!) to be bridesmaids. The wedding was in Bend, Oregon. It was a weekend full of fun and friends. It was a great time and a beautiful ceremony. Things were a bit tricky with being in the wedding and having the 2 kids there, but Matt and I managed. Here are pictures from that weekend. This was at the pre-ceremony event.
